Donna Lanham
Volunteer State Community College, Class of 2016
From Springfield
Having gone back to school after 32 years of being out of high school and working as an executive administrative assistant for 30 of those years, I felt it was time for me to do something really meaningful with what time I have left to work. My goal is to work with kids with severe disabilities in Middle or High schools. I want to help these kids be better prepared for when they leave school in case they don't go on to college.
My husband recently passed away and was working to put me through school full time. I have to finish school so that my husband can look down and be proud that I finished what I've started.
Congratulations...you did it!
