MB Nike Sports Camp, Counselor at Nike Sports Camp
I attended this camper as a camper myself in 2011&2012 and it was such a great experience I wanted to come back. The only way I could go back was to be a employee. This camp is unlike any other camp for a couple of reasons. It lasts a total of 6 weeks and campers have the option to choose to stay 1 week all the way up to 6 weeks. This camp is offered to young athletes all around the world. We represented 38 countries which is something many camps do not offer. We host 600-800 campers a week from ages 7-18. It is hectic, but nevertheless rewarding. Meeting the campers and making friends from all over the world is a once and a lifetime opportunity which makes our camp so unique. There are a total of 9 sports offered during the 6 weeks: Basketball, Tennis, Golf, Lacrosse, Football, Soccer, Baseball, Softball and Volleyball. As a counselor duties included watching over our younger campers ages 8-13 and ensuring they were safe and doing alright, also making sure the older campers were getting to their sports on time and other various activities. We would take pictures everyday and post them to our website for parents to see and also we would offer late night adventures to different locations such as Red Sox games, trampoline world, Hard Rock Cafe, Duck Tours in Boston, the movies, the mall, outdoor "Games2U" and Laser Tag/Paintball. Getting to go on most of these activities with 90+ campers can get chaotic, but it's a challenge we were all willing to take on. At the end of the camp the goodbyes are heartbreaking, the reality is it is unlikely you will see these kids again, but for the 6 weeks it was worth it all for the memories we made together and the kids appreciate the amazing coaches who helped our campers with their specific sport.

Assumption College Admissions Ambassador at Admissions Ambassador
Becoming an Admissions Ambassador has opened so many doors for me. Getting the opportunity to be a tour guide has improved my college experience immensely. I enjoy getting to know a group of people, talking to students about their future college choices, it reminds me of when I was once looking at schools. My tour guide was amazing when I first looked at Assumption and since then I wanted to have the same effect on at least one student touring our school. The whole admissions team is great and I can't wait to return from my study abroad program that I am currently attending in Rome and get back into the office!

Intern: The Rhode Show at WPRI 12 Eyewitness News
I was lucky enough to have an internship the summer going into my Sophmore year of college at WPRI 12, The Rhode Show. This is a local morning show that includes fashion, cooking, entertainment and the coverage of all things Rhode Island! The crew welcomed us interns with open arms and wanted us to learn all the behind the scenes work it took to produce a morning show. My duties included preparing the morning set, welcoming the guests, taking pictures during live takes, monitoring their social media sites, going to off site shots, logging, editing and using the prompt during the live show. It was very hands on and made me eager and confirmed the passion I had for entertainment.
