Science Ambassador at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Working in a small team or as a pair with another Ambassador to create informative presentations on topics in science and mathematics. This is presented at students of various grade levels (mostly middle schools) of schools in the Upstate New York region. In addition, the presentation includes a hands-on activity for the students relating to the topic presented. The goal is to stimulate STEM interest in students in Pre-College education. As of May 2015 I was promoted to School Event Coordinator. In this position I am in charge of contacting school officials to arrange for days when they are willing to accept our SA teams to present their STEM presentations and activities.
August 2014 - Present
