Camilla Broccolo

Majored in Public Communication
The University of Vermont, Class of 2018
From Burlington, VT
I am a recent University of Vermont, I studied Public Communication and Nutrition and Food Sciences with a concentration in Italian Studies. In my time at UVM I was involved in various groups across campus. I am passionate about writing, graphic design, and figuring out the intricacies of social media. I was bit by the travel bug at an early age. I was born in Italy and my family moved around all over the world as I grew up. I am fluent in Italian, and proficient in Spanish. Nowadays, I am always itching to travel to new places, and immerse myself in diverse cultures. I aspire to work internationally at some capacity to expand my horizons and continue learning about different cultures. I am incredibly interested in international marketing and the cultural differences it has to marketing in the U.S. I studied abroad my spring semester of Junior year at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy. In Rome I took courses in communication, Italian history, and art history. Many of my classes were on-site classes, so I was not just learning the information through a textbook, but getting to see it first hand. In my time abroad, I was fortunate enough to travel all around Italy and the rest of Europe and immerse myself in the various cultures of the countries I visited. My time with the department of Community Development and Applied Economics at the University of Vermont made me more passionate about providing socially conscious and responsible marketing practices, and creating social change. I am detail oriented, organized, and always up for the next big challenge. I love learning new skills and expanding my horizons.
