Katie Patschke recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, Anthropology, and Studio Art at Susquehanna University. Katie is currently working for the Close Up foundation, a tour guiding company that informs, inspires, and empowers young people to exercise the rights and accept the responsibilities of citizens in a democracy. Catherine Patschke Earns Degree at Susquehanna

Catherine Patschke, of Shokan, N.Y., earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies in December. Patschke is the daughter of Steve and Grace Patschke.

Program Instructor at Close Up Foundation
Through the Close Up Foundation I have the opportunity to give educational tours to high school students. Throughout the course of the program I lead meetings with congress members and senators to discuss pressing domestic issues, meet with ambassadors at various embassies to discuss the political and economic relationship between the US and their countries, as well as facilitate seminars put on by non-for-profit organizations.

Volunteer at Smithsonian American Art Museum
At the AA I facilitate events such as The New York Night’s contemporary Music concert as well as the Washington Ballet’s Sleepy Hallow where I assisted photographer Stephen Elliot.

Youth and Family Programs Intern at Smithsonian Institution
At the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery I assist with Youth and Family Programs such as portrait discovery kits and Girl Scout programs.
