I worked on two project during my internship. My first project dealth with assigning a new discount to customer with multiple policies, which required a lot of data scrubbing and verification. My second project was to develop a discount for insureds who had automated leak detection and prevention systems installed in their homes, which required research into the systems and competitor research. I gained experience and knowledge about property and casualty insurance and increased skills with excel and power point. I acquired competencies in working and living away from home.
I was a work study for the British faculty at Harlaxton College while I was studying abroad. I help prepare course materials and classrooms.
I tested and analyzed CLASS program for functionality in a personal and auto loan environment utilizing Zephr and JIRA. I expanded my knowledge of software features and recommended modifications as needed. I developed skills in problem solving, critical thinking, and expanded communication skills interacting with professionals in a corporate environment.
My responsibilities included answering the phone, sorting mail, and helping resolve student issues in regards to residence life. I gained customer service experience.
My responsibilities included providing retail customer service, answering the phone and taking order, pastry making, cleaning equipment, and dish washing. I gained experience in operating efficiently on any tasks given to me and experience in customer service.
I managed my own lawn care service including asset management, customer satisfaction, and finances. In 2015, I was mowing lawns for up to 12 clients at a time and employing 2 to 3 workers as needed. I gained significant real life business experience.
