Senior year at Bradley has been my best year in all four years of high school. I have made great friends and play for a good baseball team. Our team is like a family, we are always there for each other. It maybe my first and last year at Bradley but I'm going to make it the best. I have met a great coach. Coach Adams has done everything to make my senior as a pitcher for the Bears a great one. I'm returning from a fun spring break trip in Cocoa Beach, Florida. I had a lot of fun besides the fact that I got major sunburn. I did a lot of things at the beach such as I went swimming, played baseball, basketball, and volleyball. It was the best spring break I've ever had in my life. The beach was so beautiful especially when I got to see dolphins jumping out of the ocean. I also got to celebrate one of my closest friends birthday on the beach. I think the best part about our trip was that I got to bond more with some of the baseball players. I got to meet new people also which was loads of fun playing basketball with different people. But I'm really happy to be coming home and getting to see my family after a week of being away. You know I never realized how different people are until you get to know them more. I've never been good at making friends but I don't think of the Bears as just friends I think of them as a family each coach and player are like brothers to me. I remember the first time I stepped into the locker room I gotta admit I was really nervous. My best friends on the baseball team are Maynard and Fowler because they're so fun to be around. Even if you're being serious when they're around you will always laugh thats just the kinda guys they are. The thing that sets me diferent from them is that when I'm in the dugout during a game, I'm always laughing or trying to have the most fun but when I get on the pitchers mound I'm serious. I think of it as I'm the best pitcher in the state of Tennessee and nobody will be better than me. That is how I became such a good pitcher is by having confidence in my abilities and not fearing anyone who challenged me. Coach Adams is a great coach to have he cares about his players. He makes sure they have what they need. If it wasn't for Coach Adams I would still be at home not getting the chance to go to Florida and play baseball while having a good time doing it. He has done so much for me and I pay him back giving him my best when I step on that mound. I believe that I've impressed him by giving everything I have on the field. Well now you know about me now, but let me tell you about some of the things i went through in the past three years of high school. Lets start with my freshmen year at Danville High School. That year for me was great cause I had great grades and played baseball. At the end of that year I had a 3.4 G.P.A. which is really good.My sophmore year is where the trouble began. That year people started bullying me to the point where I basically just shut down. I couldn't get my work done. I kept getting followed home by ten guy who tried to jump me everyday if it was for me playing baseball carrying a bat that scared people I would've been beat to death by a bunch of wannabe thugs. I barely passed that year because of all the bullying done to me. Now we move to my junior year, the bullying continued to get to me where I just got tired of it. People stole my homework and they stole my clothes while I was in gym class. Everytime I went to an authority figure no one would do anything about it so I decided it was my turn to stand up for myself. I again barely passed that year also. God helped me get through all those tough times with one Bible verse. That verse is Phillipians 4:13, "Through God all things are possible." That verse right there really speaks to me, it reminds me that no matter how bad things get God will always be there to help you get through any struggle. Today before a baseball game our team will pray to God for a victory. I always volunteer to say that prayer. I believe that Phillipians 4:13 has helped a lot of people and God's Word will always help me and anyone around me.
