Clara Faile

I am currently in my first year at UW-Whitewater. I plan on majoring in Japanese Studies as a way to further craft my language ability. Since none of my previous schools offered Japanese courses, I have been self-taught in the language for almost a decade. In 2013, I have also co-founded a non-profit organization that targets English and Japanese learners. I am currently on the E-Board for the International Students Association and a committed member of Model UN. This summer, Im looking to receive an internship as a teachers assistant abroad in Japan. This opportunity will allow me to work with students on their English skills. I'm hoping to use this as a way to prepare me for my future in the field of teaching English as a second language at public schools. My hopes for the future are becoming a certified teacher in Japan and an active leader in the community. Im hoping to merge my visual skills, relatable and extraverted personality to land the perfect job opportunity.
