David Jones

My name is David Delane Jones, and I am currently a rising senior at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. My passion for marine science has led me to pursue a bachelors degree in biological sciences with a concentration in marine biology and a minor in ocean, earth, and atmospheric science. I have enjoyed numerous academic successes as an Honors College student, such as achieving Deans List standing each semester as well as inductions into numerous honor societies. Outside of the classroom, I have participated in wetland restoration events through the Marine Biology Student Association, conducted independent research on coral stress, and dived in the beautiful and diverse waters off the southern Florida coast. Intrigued by the marine world and zealous for discovery, I look forward to seeing where my degree will lead.
