I recently graduated from Baldwin Wallace University, completing my Bachelor of Arts in Finance, and will complete my second major in Management on July 15th, 2016
I was a career sailor leaving Cleveland, Ohio for the United States Navy after my senior year in High School, where I fell in love with every aspect of the job from the hard work to the satisfaction of completing high pressure tasks in a timely manner. After I received an honorable discharge for my service in 2003 I was once again called to serve two years later under the Presidential Recall Order in 2005 where I received a second honorable discharge. I was selected for this position in order to assist in training a new boat unit. After I finished that 12 month enlistment I continued to work on ships in all different areas of the industry from commercial fishing in Alaska to aggregate shipping in the Great Lakes, spending those years in supervisory roles of divisions as large as 60 subordinates.
In 2011, I was blessed with the birth of a healthy baby girl and I knew my days of sailing were numbered and home was where I had to be. In not planning this career to end I made a decision to use my skills I have picked up over my years sailing coupled with another love for numbers and planning to follow a new path with the same motivation and intensity as my former.
