Derrick Chaney

I was born in Madisonville, KY; adopted & moved to Irvine, KY when I was 6 months old; raised in the Baptist faith; was saved the Lord's mercy & grace when I was 21, was married to my wonderful wife Melanie when I was 28 & moved to her hometown of Pine Knot, KY; where I currently reside. In 2009 I left my former home church of Easter Valley Baptist in Irvine,KY to join my wife's home church of Whitley City United Methodist where I attended & worked in as the church's UMM president for 1 year, the broadcast & social network media coordinator for 3 years, & the Corbin District's UMM Assistant Vice President & Vice PresideSpeakernt. Also while attending WCUMC I became a Laymen(Lay Speaker). Unfortunate events occured that caused my wife, her sister, her mother, & myself to choose to leave & are currently searching for a new home church.
