Katelyn Witham, AuD, is an esteemed Doctor of Audiology dedicated to serving the community at Empire Hearings Elmira clinic in New York. Dr. Witham brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for improving auditory experiences for all.
Graduating with a degree in Speech, Language, & Hearing Sciences from Indiana University in 2017, Dr. Witham furthered her education at Gallaudet University, earning an AuD in Audiology in 2022.
With a focus on Auditory Processing Disorders and serving special populations, Dr. Witham excels at bridging communication gaps by being proficient in American Sign Language. Her commitment to accessibility drives her belief that hearing loss does not equate to disability until individuals lack access to auditory information or accommodationswhere hearing aids play a pivotal role.
Motivated by witnessing how language deprivation impacts various aspects of life, Dr. Witham pursued a career in hearing care to make a tangible difference. Her favorite part of the job is experiencing the meaningful stories people share during their 2-week follow-up after receiving hearing aids.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Witham indulges in hiking, relishing horror movies and foreign films. She nurtures plants in her garden and cherishes cozy moments cuddling with her cat.
