Erick Perez

Erick Perez is currently attending SUNY Buffalo State, pursuing a bachelors in Media Production. His area of expertise is working as a director of photography, camera operator, and as editor. Through his intermediate video production and documentary making courses, he was involved in the production of videos for Weigel Health Center and Buffalo Spree Magazine in a small crew. Outside of academia, Eric is very involved in various forms of social justice movements, working along side urban youth as they fight against racial injustices in education, policing, and immigration. This line of work and activism often results in him traveling across the five boroughs of New York City, and occasion, across the country; resulting in Eric visiting various communities, engaging with people of different backgrounds, leaving Eric to be more worldly than some. A slow day for Eric would involve walking across the boroughs, photographing whatever he sees to improve his camera handling, typing stories to turn into screenplays, and finding new means of improving his technique.
