I was a Spanish and Biology major at High Point University for 2 years (2011-2013), until they took away my program and I was forced to look elsewhere. Medical Assistant at Sherwood Forest Camp
Medical Nursing student assisting the Charge Nurse with distribution of medications, physical exams/check ups, supplying first aid in cases of bee stings, injuries, etc. and properly documenting each camper's medical information in a confidential fashion. I will be working with both boys and girls, from the 3rd grade to 12th grade, in the Ozark mountains for 3 months. I will be on call 24 hours along with the Charge Nurse. I can give injections, take vital signs, and perform other skills that I have learned in my clinical rotations at both the VA hospital in Salem, VA and at Lewis-Gale Montgomery in Blacksburg on the Med/Surg floor.
