Heather Leo

I began as a Co-Chair my sophomore year and still hold this position through my senior year. As one of the Co-Chairs for the Ted Winnowski Student Conference in Business, I coordinate and maintain communication between the leadership team and participants. This includes meetings, relaying pertinent information, sending out acceptances and answering any questions from participants for leadership team members. I have developed public flyers, manage information for the TWSCB website, and inform faculty members of TWSCB deadlines and key event information. Additionally, this year, I cordially invited other institutions to partake and attend the Ted Winnowski Student Conference in Business. Lastly, it is my responsibility to ensure all tracks the day of the event operate smoothly and problem solve any issues that arise.

As the Marketing intern for the School of Business, I analyze School of Business sites of peer and aspirant institutions,coordinate and conduct meetings with School of Business Department chairs,operate news and information on Social Media platforms and print documents, and formulate and communicate recommendations to fellow colleagues. Furthermore, my responsibilities to help improve Siena College’s School of Business include: • Serving as a communications link between the School of Business and individual departments. To that end, I work with department chairs to ensure that timely and relevant department related initiatives, events, and success stories are communicated through appropriate channels, including the website, TV displays, Communications office, Promethean, and social media channels. • I have designed and built awareness for the Dean’s internal blog within the School of Business faculty. • Continue to create and maintain Rise Vision content (displayed outside Siena Hall 301). • Provide information updates for the School of Business website. • I have developed and currently maintain all social media channels for the School of Business. • I have created written promotional materials, such as leave behinds, for each department and an overview of the School of Business handout. These include infographics and information pertinent to perspective and current students regarding each major. • I have developed and currently maintain various LinkedIn groups including: Overall Siena College School of Business Group, Management Department Group, Marketing Department Group, Finance Department Group, Economics Department Group, Accounting Department Group, and the Masters in Accounting Group. • Lastly, I have fostered a relationship between the School of Business initiatives and Siena College’s Marketing and Communications department to ensure adherence to the branding guide and spreading news about past and upcoming events.
