As an environmental studies major with a self-designed concentration in policy, law, and conservation studies, I am deeply passionate about climate change issues and developing an adaptive, resilient, and sustainable future. Through courses in my undergraduate career, extra-curricular activities, internships, and experiential learning, I have developed a passion and skill-set in fields related to sustainability, resource use, climate change mitigation, air, water, land policy, and food systems. My extracurricular activities and work experiences have focused on improving the environment on my campus and in other parts of the country.

Work Experience

Sustainability Outreach Intern at University of Vermont

As a Sustainability Outreach Intern during the 2014 spring semester, Hope worked on projects involving: updating UVM’s AASHE STARS credits, formulating green buildings case study narratives, and attending and reporting on Earth Week events. During the 2015 springs semester, Hope worked on projects including: coordinating and facilitating the Student Advocacy & Leadership Summit, formulating peer institutions organization structure profiles, attending the UVM Color Run, and blogging about events related to sustainability off campus.
