Majoring in Hci And Design
Rochester Institute of Technology, Class of 2017
From Akola, India
Hello, I am a graduate student in the field of Human Computer Interaction and Design at Rochester Institute of Technology(R.I.T). At R.I.T, I have developed a veritable interest in Web Technologies, UI Design, Application Development and their User Experience aspects. At RIT, I have developed a keen interest in research and would like to persue a career as a UX/UI Researcher. As part of the Human Computer Interaction program, I have developed the ability of conceptualizing digital experience to implementing it intuitively, to bolster and improve usability and productivity, which are undoubtedly the core structures used to design and develop contemporary technologies. For my Capstone project, I am developing a wearable device called 'Cherry' which uses the phenomenon of the cocktail party effect for the benefit of people who have hearing loss. With an intend to increase the quality of life for people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D.H.H), the wearable would use the Time Difference of Arrival (T.D.O.A) technique of sound localization to point towards the direction of source of sound. The wearable is designed to provide its users with subtle hints about any sound events in the users surrounding environment. A Usability test would also be conducted to ensure ease of use and functionality of the wearable.
