Spec Day Camp engages children from 5 to 13 in various activities from arts and crafts to many sports. Started as a junior counselor with a two week position in 2012, but was asked to return for the rest of the summer. While a counselor, was asked to take over as Assistant Director for one week during the summer of 2013. I helped the Director with the main activities for the camp’s Amazing Race theme. I helped prepare all the different stages of the race. Promoted to Assistant Director with a focus on the Counselors-in-Training (CITs) for the summer of 2015. Pre-camp, I reviewed the CIT applications, interviewed potential CITs, and worked with the incoming CITs to learn and gain skills required to be a counselor. Along with the CIT responsibilities, I helped plan activities for each week’s theme and helped to supervise each week’s field trip. I also updated the Spec Day Camp Facebook page by posting pictures and updating the page’s information. Responsibilities: -Lead groups of kids ages 5 to 13. - Lead and explain games and activities to the campers in small to camp-sized groups. -Help maintain a clean environment at camp food area, bathrooms, kitchen, and supply closets. -Help CITs gain the skills required to become a counselor. -Any other work assigned by my supervisor.

Responsibilities: -Shelve books and DVDs. -Check out books and DVDs to patrons. -Assist patrons. -Answer calls. -Take inventory.
