Jack Dressendorfer
Hello, my name is Jack Dressendorfer! I am a seminarian for the Catholic Diocese of Austin, and as such am studying for a degree in Philosophy and Letters here at the University of Dallas. I am 18 years old, play the saxophone, clarinet, bass and a little bit of guitar. I also love to read and write (things I am able to enjoy plenty of at UD), as well as spend time in quiet prayer or deep discussion. This has been my first college experience (some of our other seminarians came in after already having some) and while it has been challenging at points I greatly enjoy attending our University and look forward to what the Lord has in store for me in the future.

Round Rock High School Dragon Band
For four years I was a member of the Round Rock High School Dragon Band. While with them I had the privilege of being able to march in the 2015 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, as well as in the Bands of America Grand Nationals competition in the Lucas Oil stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana during the falls of 2013 and 2015.

I was a part of the seminarian band Down the Hill. We have performed for TGIT, charity week, and events at the seminary such as s'mores with seminarians and our parent day. It has been a blast playing bass with some awesome guys!

PALS
I was a member of my high school's Peer Assistance and Leadership program, through which I would travel to a one middle school per year to mentor and provide friendship to children in need of those two things who had signed up to have a PAL. This was one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had.

For a little while I sold knives with Cutco and Vector marketing. This was not the greatest experience I have ever had, but it definitely helped affirm me in my decision to enter seminary, as I worked here right before entering.
