Janaya Stallworth

As a social work major at Saginaw Valley State University, I have become more engaged with social injustices of various populations and communities. I am a highly motivated general practice student. My skill set is expanding while I have continued learning inside and outside the classroom. Some of these skills include: utilizing ethics and policy during practice, articulating needs verbally and written, and problem solving with oppressed individuals/populations through the strength based perspective. While completing the Bachelors of Social Work program at the university, I am one of the two assistant life skills coach for Youth in Transition program hosted at both SVSU and Delta College. My current experience with the F.A.S.T Program is continually refreshed and challenged as I am encouraged to increase my innovative abilities and leadership skills. After completing Saginaw Valley's BSW with the class of May 2018, I am eager to continue showing the world what purpose plus education looks like!
