I am a 1973 graduate of Marshall University and I earned master's degree from the University of Tennessee with a concentration in Communications in 1975. I worked in the advertising industry in radio, newspaper, state agencies and as communications director of a regional museum. I moved into higher education as a professor in 1979, and I have moved into assistant dean, interim dean and now director of the W. Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
