Jillian Gaietto

I am currently working towards acquiring my Bachelors of Science in Mathematics paired with a passionate Architecture Minor from Kent State University. Once I graduate with my Bachelor's degree, I plan on attending Kent State University for my Masters of Arts in Teaching. I have had the privilege to work directly with Stark Countys Upward Bound program, assisting at multiple summer camps, and be employed by Residence Services of Kent State University. These positions afforded me to have direct interactions with diverse populations of students and therefore helped to foster my skills and knowledge as an educator and tutor. I have performed privately as a tutor both at Hudson High School as well as at Kent State University's Academic Success Center where I was able to experience the value and importance of education on a more profound level with my students. I became keenly aware of my strengths in teaching: motivating students into ascertaining their inner strengths and abilities, discovering what truly inspires them, conveying my strong content knowledge, crafting instructional activities to best fit the needs of the students, and accommodating for all students individual differences. I believe myself to be an organized, lively, and nurturing instructor and I am confident that I am capable of accomplishing my endeavors.
