Joel Baque Zavala

I am a very dedicated student in my duties and in my responsibilities. I came from a distant country to prepare myself academically, personally and professionally. I am a person who loves to face challenges in life and I also tell individuals experiences that I had in my live, so that they dont commit the same mistake as me. We all make mistakes in life and the most important thing to do if fixing them and learn from them. During my four years of high school, I overcame great personal hardship, including poverty and the trauma of culture shock, to become a true asset to the school community. Throughout the years, I have developed a good reputation in society. My good habits that my parents taught me have helped me to become a respectful individual. I am truly courageous and professional; when I was a child, I used to wear a tie to class to look competent. Today I still hold fast to this habit. I remember how all my teachers used to describe me when I was in high school: with my thoughtfulness and unwavering kindness, I was like by all my classmates. I was also elected president of the student council in my sophomore year of high school. My enthusiasm and creativity in class when I was in high school and now in college is only matched by my strong work ethic. I describe myself as a hardworking, diligent, and dedicated student. I always complete my assignments in a timely fashion and I always come to class prepared. I love to participate in class discussions and collaborate with my friends.
