Currently: SUNY New Paltz.
I am planning to begin my Master/Doctoral studies in 2019, destination unknown.
Psychology Major, Disaster Psychology Minor, language obsessed time keeper.
Eternally: graphic designer, illustrator, and writer- of sorts.
I feel as though I will accomplish anything and everything I set out to do, regardless of past experiences and misconceptions about what success really means or how many hours are in a day.
I volunteer regularly with Ulster County Crime Victims Assistance Program as an advocate and an ear.
In addition, I am a part time toll collector, and although I have been civil service placed since 2010, full time is not available and not being filled indefinitely, as my employer and New York State has set to eliminate my position by 2020.
I am a Teamsters Shop Steward, and currently engaged in handling issues related to a brand new contract and a wealth of full-time positions being filled by hundreds of (what upper management feels are expendable) part time toll collectors.
My breadth of experience and turmoil has put my interest in psychology in full bloom and I plan to find a suitable career and continue education beyond my future Degree(s), as well as a home in a cognitive or social psychology setting.
