Kati Kameroski

Majored in Art Education
Keystone College, Class of 2012
From Clarks Summit, PA

I love sharing my passion for learning through art education. My enthusiasm engages students and inspires them to be inquisitive passionate learners themselves. I believe in fostering the community as well as validating the vision of the individual through the art-making experience. Studying art helps students not only discover new ways to express and communicate ideas, but consider broader perspectives and approaches to problem solving. I have taught children pre-k through 12th grade, as well as Hot Glass at the college level. My concentration is in ceramics, but I'm also fond of other media. I have taught lessons with as little as my hand in the sand in Haiti, to gas torches, to as technologically advanced as utilizing Power point, Prezi, presentations with high speed internet video. I enjoy collaborating with other specialists and teachers integrating other subject matter into my art lessons. As a professional artist I utilize science and creative-writing to produce my ceramic art. I have the following recognitions and awards to my credit; Keystone College's Outstanding Graduate of 2012, Magna Cum Laude, Clyde McGeary Fellows Scholar 2011 PA Art Educator's Association Award, Scotty Neuroth Memorial Award for Excellence in Art, Everhart Choice Award, Scholastics Art Winner of Gold and Silver Keys, Keystone College Rising Star in Education.
