Keely Bennett

I am a junior at James Madison University, majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Educational Media. I've been obsessed with the cosmetic industry since the first day my mom let me wear mascara to middle school. Since finding a love for public relations at college, it has been my goal to work in the Beauty PR industry, doing what I'm truly passionate about. I am confident in my skills I have acquired from my time here at JMU, one of the most prominent skills being leadership. Since serving as my sorority's President, I have been faced with challenges that push me and force me to make some really tough decisions. With leading a group of 230+ women, I know not everyone will always be happy with some of those decisions. I rely heavily on my execute board, and value their input in every decision I make, using group collaboration and teamwork often. Nothing is predictable with this position, and I relate a lot of what I learn about PR to my role in the sorority. Upon graduation in May 2018, I am seeking a job in Beauty PR that will allow me to craft informative messages and communication plans to improve information flow in the world around me.
