Lisa Sforza

I am a well-rounded person who can hold a conversation about almost anything. I tend to be somewhat of a "Jane-of-All-Trades" and know a little bit about everything from classic car engines to environmental engineering. I enjoy doing research on topics about which I am passionate. My current personal project is researching the various studies done on aquatic wildlife downstream from waste water treatment plants. My ultimate goal in chemical engineering is to create a way of neutralizing the pharmaceuticals that are being leached into the environment from our waste water runoff. I also have a passion for photography in nature. I have a wonderful camera body and am excited to get new lenses for various effects. Nature is a love of mine. In order to recharge from the daily grind, I like to go hiking in the woods where very, very few people dare to go. The farther into the mountains, the better is my opinion! I love horseback riding as well. I took English riding lessons as a child and I have maintained an interest in horses ever since. I have an interest in the American classic muscle cars and I am thrilled that some of them are being re-made as "retro" style cars! I don't have a particular favorite classic car, mainly because I think they're almost all beautiful. My dream car is a 1963 Split-Window Corvette! I currently own a motorcycle as my main mode of transportation and I love it! I ride rain or shine, cold or hot. My bike is a 2002 Suzuki Katana 600. It's just enough power to be fun, but not too much that I will try to kill myself on it. From my profile picture, you may be able to see that I have an interest in the Renaissance period. I was a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, which is a medieval re-enactment organization with chapters worldwide. I enjoy learning about various sword-fighting styles as well. Anything with a blade interests me. I have studied how to make an array of swords with a focus on the traditional style of katanas.
