Graduate Nurse at Beaumont Health System
I am able to function fully as a nurse while awaiting to take my NCLEX this summer. I will be able to care for my patient's in the same way as when I was an Extern, however, now I can complete care plans and also document any education that I provide to patient's and their families. My only restriction is medication passing, which I will be able to do once I obtain a license from the state.

Graduate Nurse at Beaumont Health
I am a fully functioning nurse that provides direct care to critically ill patients in the Critical Care Complex. My only restrictions are that I am not allowed to pass medications until I pass my NCLEX, which I am taking next month.
May 2016 - Present
Nurse Extern at Beaumont Health System
I would work under an RN to perform all nursing duties aside from those that you need a license for, such as medication administration. I would perform assessments regularly and care for patients who were in the Critical Care Complex. Since it is an intensive care unit I was responsible for all patient needs such as hygiene, ADLs, feeding, etc. I was able to really work on my documentation and charting skills, as well.
