Luis Rogel

Majoring in Civil Engineering
University of Dayton, Class of 2021
From Chicago, IL
Born and raised in the big city of Chicago. I like to go out with friends and have fun but I am also a hard worker. I'm hoping to do CO-OPS or internships while I'm at UD. I'm dedicated to my work but I also put time aside for other things. I like playing sports and being outside and I plan to join intramural sports while at UD. I graduated from De La Salle Institute in Chicago. I really like being active and in my high school career I've played golf, soccer, tennis, boxing and lacrosse. I enjoy kicking it back with friends and hanging out too. I plan to meet new people and I like to think of myself as outgoing

Caddy at Ridge Country Club
Having the title as a "Ridge Country Club Caddy" is one of my greatest titles. I accompany the members of the country club while they are playing golf. I am their personal assistant for the duration of their game. My main duty is to carry the player's golf bag but I also give them exact yardages to the hole, replace divots, locate golf balls, fix pitch marks, rake sand traps, read the greens and I also give them golf tips and suggestions when they are in a bad situation. I love my job because I have the opportunity to meet such great people and make connections that can benefit me later down the road. I also enjoy working alongside other caddies because it makes our job easier with more caddies. I hope to continue working at Ridge Country Club because I love interacting with others and being on the golf course.
