Luke Prescott

I found my true passion in mathematics. However, while programming, I explored how to use mathematical ideas practically: the connections between the two topics led me to knowing this is what I wanted to do with my life! I love the combination of creativity and logical problem-solving skills I get to use when writing code; I love the real world applications and driven style of mathematics. I love how there is always more to learn! I am a undergraduate at SUNY Albany pursuing a minor in applied mathematics, and I am pursuing it with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Currently my interests have me using python with simple machine learning techniques -- using the pandas, scikit learn and matplotlib libraries I am testing supervised machine learning on sample data with gradient descent and linear regression.
