Mario Georgalas has been in the hotel industry for the past seven years. He has worked solely for Shore Club, which is a part of Morgans Hotel Group. He started in Security as a Specialist and became a manager within nine months. After two years was promoted to the Front Desk as the Night Auditor. After working his way to Assistant Front Office Manager, he was then promoted to Assistant Director of Housekeeping. Fifteen months later, he was again promoted to Assistant Director of Security where he acted as the Department Head. Mario has also worked in the construction, advertising, and wine industry as well as serving in the US Navy for six years. All past industries have tied, directly or indirectly, into the hospitality industry. While in the Navy, Mario was able to visit Spain, Italy, Israel, Puerto Rico, Cuba, St Thomas, Diego Garcia, and has driven cross country three times. Mario plans on one day becoming a GM in the hospitality industry thus deciding to go back to school to study Hospitality Management at FIU.
