I am a mother of two teenagers, I was a Medical assistant/Certified Nurses Assistant for many years when I decided to go back to college about 2 yrs ago. I had been a volunteer at my daughters school for many years when I had a revelation in my own life, that I wanted to pursue to become a teacher. I entered Holyoke Community College and now that I have been here 2 yrs I have made a decision that I want to specialized in Children with Disabilities. This college has given me the courage and the motivation to accomplish all my goals. Since I have been here I have received two scholarships and now I am the Vice President of the Strive Mentoring Program. I am also doing a work study as an office assistant at the Bartley Center on campus.
