I am a recent Cum Laude graduate of NIU. I have a degree in elementary education with a minor in art. I have middle school endorsements of art, social science, and Language Arts.

I am currently seeking employment as a elementary education teacher.

Working with young children is a passion of mine. For several years, I have enjoyed working with young children within and outside the school domain.  In my professional experience, I have developed and utilized research based strategies that proven to show growth in reading, writing, and problem solving skills of young primary students. A collaborative effort from the parents, staff, and community is vital for an enriched and exciting educational experience for the students. This collaboration is an important part of my teaching philosophy because I believe I can extend my teaching through the collaboration of other people. Also, I imagine that in extending students’ learning beyond the classroom will intrigue the students to become lifelong learners. I consider that in order for students to be lifelong learners, it is important for me to be an exemplary example of this idea through my desire to continually learn. I am committed to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.
