The class focuses on literature, history, theology and philosophy texts from the beginning of Western Civilization until present day. • Achieved College Reading & Learning Association certification of Advanced Tutor due to fulfillment of training and service thresholds • Serve as a member of Tutor Cabinet, a leadership position where I work alongside four of my peer tutors, the Assistant Director of the Tutoring Center and the Assistant Director of the Writing Center. • Plan training for new tutors, ensure Tutoring Center policies are being followed by all tutors and schedule individual review and group review schedules for Development of Western Civilization tutors. • Assess individual student needs and develop strategies to address academic problem areas while incorporating the acquirement of study skills • Primarily work with Division-I Student Athletes, conducting weekly tutoring sessions in order to assist them with work they may have missed due to travel. • Work closely with athletes’ advisors in order to abide by NCAA rules
