Drew Korpal

Majored in Theatre, Minored in Musical Theatre
Saginaw Valley State University, Class of 2018
From Saginaw, MI
My goal is to provide what a client wants as quickly and precisely as possible. I handle a broad range of accents and qualities of voice, as well as numerous impersonations, always adapting and expanding my range to fit the client's needs and expectations across all VoiceOver genres. Why hire multiple voice talents when you can simply hire me? What I bring to the table is a flexible voice with a creative can-do attitude and an energetic desire to try new things, working well in all manner of environments and conditions. I handle and interpret direction well, and am able to switch rapidly from one vocal style to another on demand. When a client asks for something, I will find a way to deliver.

Independant Study
I've successfully created a potential course of study for the Theatre Department at SVSU, (THEA*495 T4; Introduction to VoiceOver). The goal of this course is to introduce the concept of VoiceOver work to the student body in a manner that is consistent with the rest of the course work offered in the Theatre Degree program.

VoiceOver Talent at Drew Korpal Voice Talent
So far, I've done commercial reads for companies small (like independent film maker Joseph Zebrosky) and large (such as Ford). I've had the awesome opportunity to work with creative agencies, like Icon and Jackson-Dawson. I've recorded in newer studios (like Ember Recording Studios) and established studios (like Ron Rose and Pluto). And I've begun the long but thoroughly enjoyable process of forming new connections and relationships through the I-Group and the auditions they offer, the fantastic professors at SVSU, the members of the industry I've been fortunate enough to meet, and the wonders of tech-based social networking. I've never before felt such joy and contentment as when I'm working for a client, helping to bring their vision to life. I can't imagine anything better than this. For now, I'm putting a great deal of energy toward my theatrical education at SVSU, so that I can back my talents with formal training in everything. Public speaking, character acting, singing, tech-work, and learning Japanese (that's a Huge animation market!) are all on the table for me. I've even created a new potential VoiceOver course for SVSU this Winter (2015) semester: (THEA*495 T4; Introduction to VoiceOver). I have a deep need to create, entertain, and be a positive influence on the people around me. I learn from, and value, every person to whom opportunity has brought me. There are jobs that need doing; my voice is my tool box, and I'm ready to work.
