Olga Hairston
Patrick Henry Community College, Class of 2013
From Martinsville, VA
First, I am thankful to God for being able to go back to school. I like to thank Him along with every teacher, every tutor, and my family for their help and support in helping me to achieve this goal or should I say this mile stone in my life of being honored from the president of PHCC. I would like everyone to know going back to school was not easy for me. I had been out of school for along long time and I was afraid of not understanding the technology of today. Nevertheless, still afraid but willing to face my fear of going back to school. So, I gained enough strength to step out on faith and did it, because it was now or never I chose now for a new chapter in my life to learn and to be knowledgeable of the unknown. "Learning is a powerful tool which lead to knowledge of knowing the unknown". Again, I say thanks for honoring me.
