Parris Malone
On campus, I am involved with the Tennessee State chapter of the Student Tennessee Education Association (STEA) and I currently serve as our chapter President & State President-Elect. As a member of STEA I spend numerous hours volunteering at local Nashville public schools. Community service is also a big part of holding the job of President. This past fall I planned and ran a Halloween bake sale entitled "Trick or Treat for UNICEF" with the proceeds our chapter was able to donate a check to UNICEF. Other community service acts I've participated in include a hat & glove drives for Buena Vista Elementary school, a personal hygiene drive for Nashville Outreach, canned food drive, donations of after school snacks, and many more. After graduation from Tennessee State I plan to remain in Nashville and work with Metro Public schools while working toward a Master's in History. My ultimate career goal is to receive my Phd in History and to be the best educator I can be.
