Directs and provides leadership for the Distribution Dispatch Center (DDC) shift operations, including scheduling, decision making, work assignments, and training. In the absence of direct line supervision, responsible for all activities associated with the DDC. Directs and provides leadership for multiple departments, locations and contract services for electric, gas and steam maintenance, operations and construction services, technology systems, customer care and customer service. Approves and is ultimately accountable for all planned, emergency and hot‐line switching. Monitors transmission, sub‐transmission and substation status and integrity, directing all planned and emergency switching from the substation transformer high side switch and below. Coordinates switching activities, including analyzing network status and load flows to prioritize and schedule switching jobs appropriately. Identifies issues and takes appropriate action on the company's electric distribution system in order to insure the adequate transmission of electricity. Analyzes the current status and configuration of the electric distribution system to ensure switching is performed in a safe and secure manner, while arranging for the de‐energization of lines for construction, maintenance and the restoration of service. Ensures effective execution of the scheduling and routing of resources necessary to respond
