Rachel Briggs

I hope to become a teacher of music in a secondary school after college. I have been in bands since sixth grade and choirs since I entered kindergarten. I have participated in every band available in my school district from a small clarinet ensemble to my high school's jazz band to a rocking pep band. My primary instrument is Bb clarinet, but I also play tenor saxophone, bass clarinet, contrabass clarinet, several percussion instruments, piano, and guitar. I have also been in almost every choir available in Burlington. I've been in a concert choir each school year, plus I have been in a vocal jazz group and a competitive a cappella choir. Last year, Burlington's A Cappella, Vocal Motion, performed at the National Tree Lighting in Washington D.C.. Music consumes my time in the most wonderful ways and I hope this continues for the rest of my life.
