As a student at Keene State in the Film Studies department I have participated in an independent study with one of my professors in order to prepare research for her published writings. I have also taken these relevant courses: - Production I, basic introduction to production skills, technique, structure, and aesthetics through production of video projects. - Intro to Digital Media Management, initial skills on the Avid Xpress DV platform. - First Person Filmmaking, educated on the first person genre (and documentary) and concluded with production of a short personal film. - Cinema & Diversity, multicultural studies in cinema which concluded with student-made films addressing a topic of diversity and synthesizing an interview with a “diverse” person. - Screenwriting, the fundamentals of writing a feature length film narrative in a proper screenplay form; final project is the first ten minutes of a conceptually developed film. - Production II, directing, shooting, and post-production practice of a 16 mm 7-10 minute short film developed throughout two consecutive semesters. - (Anticipated—Production III/IV and Advanced Screenwriting)
