As fundraiser chairman, I was given the responsibility of organizing and double-counting the money and double-checking the orders that have been made. I also made the decision of what catalog to sell out of for our big fundraiser of the year. As a member, I had to show up to the meetings and volunteer at our events we have throughout the year. I donated items for our dances, and my time for many volunteer outings. We have gone to nursing homes to do arts and crafts with them and we have done two blood drives each year.

As the junior vice president, I learned the basics of how to run a meeting room and some leadership skills. As a member, my job was to show up to the meetings and go to events. We have a pork chop dinner and labor auction every year, which those two are our only fundraisers of the year. We go to competitions, such as: livestock judging, horse judging, public speaking, and many others. I have placed in many of those competitions. Some are 5th place creed speaker (public speaking), 3rd and 4th place extemporaneous speaker (public speaking), and 6th place soil judge. I have also won 1st alternate for horse judging. I have been on the horse judging team, livestock judging team, soils team, went to and placed at the public speaking CDE (career development event), and went on many of the field trips.

Scholastic Bowl
As JV captain, I was in charge for speaking for the team during bonus questions, during disputes of the rules, and for making substitutions on the team. I also shared this position with another person on the team that is a year older than me, which is how I have half a year of being captain. She became a senior and I had to step up on the JV team and when she was gone, I had to step up on the varsity team as well. As varsity captain, I oversee checking to see if we have all our equipment and supplies that we will need for that match. I also assist our new coach in learning the rules, how to score, and how to place our team for substitutions later in the match. Our team has won 1st place and 3rd place at our conference tournament under my command. At that same tournament, I have won 2nd place individual on the All-Tournament team two years in a row (11th grade & 12th grade).
