Sage Calhoun
Carthage College, Class of 2014
From Plymouth, WI
I am currently a full-time student at Carthage College earning Bachelor's degrees in English and Spanish, as well as a minor in Women's and Gender Studies and an emphasis in Creative Writing. After graduating from Carthage College, I will be pursuing a Master's degree in Gender Studies and would like to continue after that to earn a Ph.D. in either English Literature or Gender Studies. Ideally I would like to enter the field of academia and teach both English and Gender Studies courses at the university level.
I enjoy detail-oriented work, easily work with others, and am accustomed to working with various online resources. My experience working at Hedberg Library has allowed me to develop many versatile skills (e.g. organization, time management, and customer service) that are easily transferable to other work environments. Additionally, I have had extensive training in leadership development as well as experience with both administration and educational guidance due to my positions as a Circulation Desk Student Supervisor, Target Language Expert Tutor, Spanish Tutor, and Heritage Fellow.
