I am passionate about education. Not only do I continually seek to improve myself through educational experiences, but I have made it may career and life goal to educate others. Currently, I achieve this through my work at the SVSU Writing Center, where I work with students at all stages of the writing process across varying degrees of study to improve their writing skills and knowledge. I also work at the Learning Success Center, a k-12 tutoring center where we work with students on every subject and provide a stong emphasis on development of math and reading skills. I also tutor zome students, grades 2-6, privately in reading comprehension and fluency, writing skills, and mathematics.. I love getting to see that "a-ha" moment; the point in time where a student, at the elementary or college level, finally takes a concept to heart and truly understands it. Moreover, I love being able to help students reach that point in their education. After graduation, my goal is to find a career as an educator of students. I would prefer to work with younger students; however, I love helping anyone I can, no matter what age or grade they fall into.
