Sarah Ushurova

Sarah is currently the Child Watch Coordinator for the YMCA in Warsaw NY. She was originally hired as a Child Watch staff member but was quickly promoted after a few months working there. She has brought creativity, leadership, empathy, and a passion to her job. She was recognized as employee of the month in October 2016 and continues to bring her best every day. Before working at the Y, Sarah had relocated from Almaty, Kazakhstan. There she had worked at Ruah Langauge Center as an English language teacher. She had a positive impact on her students, some of whom have traveled to visit her in America. Before teaching as an English teacher, she worked at Tien Shan International school as their Registrar. As the school's registrar, Sarah created and improved many of the school's data protocols, as well as introduced ID numbers for students to correspond with their educational files. As well as her work as the registrar, Sarah is fondly remembered for her weekly star of the week bulletin board displays. Sarah has always enjoyed administration, and she will always find a way to make a job more than just data and numbers, but delightful and effective.
