Selena Cholak

Following completion of my B.S. in Biology, I plan to attend medical school to become a Pediatric Doctor of Orthopedics. During the school year, I'm focused on my studies, and during the summer, I transition to research and various volunteer work. This summer (2017), I will be working as a Research Assistant in Dr. Najor's lab. I will also be volunteering at a hospital (Beaumont -Royal Oak). This opportunity allows enables me to encounter diverse people with unique situations and backgrounds in order to expand my medical skills. Concurrently, I volunteer as a camp counselor at Chaldean Youth Camp with children between the ages of 8 to 14. At camp, I work with kids on leadership, responsibility, and communication. My experiences both on and off campus have culminated to me being passionate, committed, and enthusiastic driven by my long-term goal of becoming a medical doctor.
