Sybil Carraway

It's such an honor to be on Hinds Presidents Scholar list, especially at this time in my life. After taking a serious personal inventory two years ago, I decided I needed to make some major changes in m y life. I felt I'd dug a deep trench of accepting mediocrity in almost all avenues of my life. I felt a sincere need to change course. After careful thought and encouragement from friends and family I felt a need to pursue more education as a meaningful way to help me decide on how to turn my life around into ways that would be more personally fulfilling. I started by increasing my faith in myself with the help of a deeper spiritual sense. That has opened the doors thru Hinds education and caring teachers to learn things I never thought I could. Thank you for this wonderful and inspiring opportunity.
