Tomas Colon

Tomas J. Colon, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Eastern Connecticut State University; Associates in Science Human Services Major, Three Rivers Community College. Mr. Colon is a bilingual Fathering Home Visitor with the Great Beginnings Program at Madonna Place in Norwich, CT. Mr. Colon has been at Madonna for a short period of time; his personal life experience coupled with his education enables him to establish great connections with the fathers at Madonna Place as he continues to provide guidance to fathers utilizing both the 24/7 Dad and the Parents As Teachers curriculum. Mr. Colon served in the United States Army for a period of 12 years in which he gained valuable experience providing leadership and instruction to small groups in a variety of subjects. Mr. Colon is a published author of three books of poetry focused on overcoming adversity, personal relationships, societal issues, and fatherhood. Mr. Colon and his wife are approaching their 18th wedding anniversary and are the proud parents of 3 sons and 1 daughter.
