PR/Marketing Coordinator at University of San Diego United Front Multicultural Center
I work alongside a group of other undergraduate students pioneering an undergraduate leadership team as a part of the Rainbow Educators Program ran by the United Front Multicultural Center. The United Front Multicultural Center is a space and office on campus dedicated t issues of diversity and social justice. The Rainbow Educator program is an established program that provides workshops to other groups on campus such as Greek Life, Residential Life, Faculty, etc. on topics of identity, diversity, LGBTQ experience, privilege, and other social topics. Due to the growth Rainbow Educators is experiencing and the amount of seminars being conducted, I work as the PR/Marketing Coordinator to help build with this expansion and am creating a position for future undergraduates to continue cultivating. Some of my jobs and responsibilities include: Develop and share content that focuses on LGBT topics and social justice. Lead seminars on topics of privilege, LGBT experiences, and identity. Attend bi-weekly meetings to improve the program and hold office hours weekly. Cultivate a network to promote the RE program on campus. Update and share articles and information through the network of other Rainbow Educators and allies on our Facebook platform. Train and interview new Rainbow Educators, specifically the PR/Marketing Undergraduate Team Coordinator.
