Willa Liburd Tavernier

Majored in Library And Information Science
University of Iowa, Class of 2018
From Basseterre, Saint Kitts-Nevis
After 15 years as a practicing lawyer in an international financial center, I decided to follow my passion and to study librarianship and information science. My particular interests are scholarly communications and research data management, politics and policy, and social justice. I believe that thinking and the ability to reason respectively is an important activity that is often rushed or completely overlooked. It might be becoming an endangered species, or perhaps even a lost art. LIS as a discipline is a key resource in the work for the restoration of reasoning.
