Zo Paris

I studied abroad in Paris and London during the Summer of 2014 where I studied photography and ethics. My photography class allowed me to capture moments of the average Parisian on the Metro, strolling along the Seine, or simply enjoying a meal with friends. London allowed me to witness an incredible city where so many revolutionary thinkers lived and wrote their famous works. It was an incredible experience that I was able to have during my time at USD.

I have been a tutor at the USD Writing Center since second semester of my sophomore year. I tutor three hours per week assisting students with various writing assignments ranging from essays, research papers, cover letters, etc., or simply helping them understand a piece of writing or text. Along with regular tutoring hours, I attend a weekly workshop along with my fellow tutors to improve our skills in order to better tend to the diversity of needs of the student body.

During my internship in the print room for the USD Galleries in the Spring of 2015, I worked on projects such as researching African American artwork for the enhancement of the print room's collection, writing a label for one of the exhibitions held on campus, helping to reorganize the print room's bookshelves, as well as various work that required assistance throughout the semester. Each project helped me gain a more well-rounded understanding of art history and its practice.
